I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your families.
We had Christmas dinner at our place this year. Mr Banya cooked turkey two ways – the breast sous vide, and the legs confit – both served with his home-cooked cranberry apple sauce. YUM!
I’ve been thinking a lot about resolutions for 2014. I don’t want to focus on negatives, and I don’t want to make promises I can’t keep.
But I DO want to keep playing, creating, laughing and loving with my little family. Not just for 2014 – for always.
What are your New Years resolutions? Or do you have words for the year instead? And did Santa bring you what you wished for?
Santa has an extra present for one lucky reader. I’m pleased to announce that the winner of the Photobox canvas print competition is Tropicalmum with her comment:
“My happy place is sitting on the trampoline, music plugged into my ears, staring up at the blue sky, 20 years ago. It was a few days before I left Canada for good. My mom was up at the house preparing the roast for our last meal together and my Dad was pottering in his workshop. Whenever I want peace and quiet I go out to our own trampoline, lie back, look at the sky and think of my folks, who have now both passed away. It makes me smile to think of them.”
Thank you to everyone who entered. And congratulations Tropicalmum; please check your email for further instructions on claiming your prize.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all of my readers for your support. Whether you read every post, or just pop over every now and again; whether you see my posts in your news feed or get emails in your inbox, whether you comment at the bottom of each post or whether you save your comments til you see me in person – I appreciate it all. I really do. I have such an awesome group of loyal followers. Thank you.
