Really yummy, if I do say so myself. And they passed the kid test – they were inhaled in two seconds flat!

I don't think there is gluten (besides trace) in the sprinkles or the chocolate, so it would just be a matter of finding a gluten free grissini… Perhaps health food shop?

Hi Danya, I am wondering if these can be made ahead of time for a birthday party? And if so, how long beforehand do you think would work?

Hmm. I've only ever made them on the same day, but I've seen them sold in cafes where they've obviously been made in advance. None of the ingredients would spoil, so I reckon if you stored them in an airtight container in a cool dark place then there's no reason why they shouldn't last for a week or longer… You might need to skip the last step of adding the chocolate & sprinkles to the rim of the container though.

Oh no! I think the secret is that you have to scrape off almost all the chocolate otherwise gravity slides it down the stick. And you also need to wait that minute before sprinkling or it doesn't work either. Hope they work for you next time!
