  1. I remember when number 2 got old enough to crawl (and required marbles to be packed away or would destroy the train track we’d painstakingly set out), the big brother would say “mum, he’s tired. He needs to go to bed” even tho he’d just woken up and was raring to go…

    • Thank you. Funny, I hadn’t thought of this as being a pin-able post because it wasn’t crafty, I hadn’t really delved into this side of pinterest before. I’m following you now, and look forward to reading some more educational / parenting types pins. 🙂

  8. Your blog is beautiful … I followed a link from a garden blog site. I’ve recently gotten back into sharing youngester post because I’ve had to take on the responsibility as care giver for my sister in laws 18 month old who has cancer. It is wonderful to come across an inspiring blog like yours filled with neat blogging ideas and crafts. I hope to stop back again soon! Happy gardening!

  9. Lovely. Sounds like you’re managing this well. My sister is about to have her second so I’m sending this post to her for some ideas for her toddler.

It’s such a hard time for them. Elka is going through this very thing at the moment. I find “mummy time” is so important and effective. Elka too has been testing boundaries, which of course makes everything more challenging. I am trying to stay in her perspective though. I try as much as possible to include her in baby activities. I don’t want her to have to feel jealous or resentful of baby. Things are definitely more challenging than before, but I am trying to stay strong and bear in mind that things will change again soon. Hope it’s gotten easier for you and your older daughter as the months have passed! Thanks for sharing at Heart Mama. x

  12. Good luck with this transition with Elka, it’s a difficult time, but it will pass eventually, we’ve just got to sit it out…. JJ & I are another month older now, and I’m pleased to say there’s been some improvement, although there still a ways to go. The next “letter” is just up this weekend here: http://www.danyabanya.com/2012/12/a-letter-to-jj-2-12-years.html xxDanya
